Parent - School Partnership

Enrollment into St. Paul's Lutheran School is a partnership that involves parents, children, school and church. It requires mutually agreed upon goals and methods. Ultimately, God is the head of this partnership. He is a loving, forgiving, powerful God who has high expectations for all involved in this partnership.

God has given parents or guardians of the child the most responsibility within the partnership. He states in Proverbs: "Train up a child in the way he should go and when he is old, he will not depart from it," and in Ephesians, "Bring them (children) up in the training and instruction of the Lord."

The school becomes the training ground to help parents carry out their God-given responsibilities. The school provides a thorough instruction in God's Word which becomes the foundation for all aspects of the student's life. Christian growth and Christian living are emphasized and practiced in the classrooms, on the playground and in all activities.

The church is there to assist families in worship, Bible study, guidance and assistance. The church provides opportunities for spiritual growth and encourages parents to demonstrate Christian leadership.

Children are the center of the partnership. They are to be cared for by home, school and church so that their "Tender hearts are touched by the love of God."

We Offer

1.Christian Education

Our Motto “Touching Tender Hearts With The Love Of God” is not just words but shows every day in all we do. It is based on the truth of John 3:16 “God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son and whosoever believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life”.

Children are taught what is right and wrong. We emphasis Christian values, and above all that Jesus is their Savior. We prepare children for a life of service to God and others, but above all we prepare children for eternal life in heaven through faith in Christ Jesus.

Children are taught God’s Word so that they know the answer to life’s most important questions.

  • Where did we come from?
  • How should we live our life?
  • What is morally right and wrong?
  • Where are we going?

2.Quality Education

  • We score well above national average on national standardized tests in all subject areas.

  • Our students go to 5 different high schools and our school has a reputation for excellence in area high schools.

  • Because we are a small K-8 school, the teachers know the strengths and weaknesses of our students and plan their instructional methods accordingly.

  • We teach to the whole child – academically, physically, emotionally, socially, and spiritually.

  • We have small class sizes with a student teacher ratio that provides a positive educational environment.

  • We have a computer lab of 26 computers. There are also computers and laptops in every classroom. We use interactive computer smartboards in classrooms.

  • We use up to date quality textbooks and teaching materials, and our instruction uses sound educational methods.

3.Many Extra Curricular Activities

We offer opportunities to participate in forensics, drama, math track, stock market team, spelling contests, science fairs, and other after school fun activities.

  • We have 15 different sports teams for our students in 4th grade and up.

  • We offer band, piano, and guitar lessons during the school day.

  • Our small school gives everyone a chance to be involved.

  • 90% of our graduates get involved in extracurricular activities in high school.

4.Family Atmosphere

An advantage of being a small school is that parents know each other. You become part of a Christian family where a team ministry of parents and teachers work together for the Christian education of children. There are many opportunities for volunteerism and socialization that bring people together.

  • We provide help for families with Christian Counseling.
  • We have a care committee that helps to meet special needs of families going through difficult times.
  • We have extended care available for children of working families. The Before and After School Care Program runs from 6:30AM to 6:00PM.

5.Preschool For Ages 3 And 4 With Extended Full Day Care

We have a preschool for ages 3 and 4. It is from 8:45-11:45AM each day. Families can choose a three or five day option. We also provide extended care for those families who need it. The early childhood program opens at 6:30PM each morning and care is available until 6:00PM. We have an excellent staff of six caring teachers.

6.Excellent Facilities

We have 11 classrooms, a large gymnasium, kitchen, computer lab, library, stage area for plays, and a large playground covering three acres. We have a soccer field, softball diamond, outside basketball court, and playground equipment for preschool and grade school children. We have a large garden area for students to grow things, and we use the nearby creek and pond for science activities.
